Adding Magic to Your Wedding in Cornwall: Confetti, Bubbles, and Sparklers

Your wedding day is a celebration of love, joy, and new beginnings. What better way to infuse that magic than by incorporating delightful elements like confetti, bubbles and sparklers? Let’s explore how these simple yet enchanting additions can elevate your wedding experience!

1. Confetti: Shower of Celebration

  • Vibrant Visuals: Confetti adds a burst of colour and excitement. Imagine walking down the aisle, surrounded by a shower of confetti—pure cinematic magic!

  • Joyful Atmosphere: As confetti flutters through the air, it creates an infectious sense of celebration. Guests can’t help but smile and cheer.

  • A Photo Blizzard: Confetti-filled moments make for stunning photographs. Capture that first kiss or the grand exit with confetti raining down—it’s picture-perfect!

Note: A lot of venues will ask for biodegradable confetti. Some couples even opt for dried rose petals and check as your venue may have dedicated areas where you can throw the confetti.

2. Bubbles: Whimsical Elegance

  • Fairy-tale Vibes: Bubbles evoke a whimsical, fairy-tale-like ambience. Imagine walking hand in hand with your partner, surrounded by shimmering bubbles—it’s straight out of a romance novel.

  • Natural Lighting: Bubbles refract light beautifully, creating dreamy, soft-focus images. Everyone will love playing with these natural prisms.

  • Kid-Friendly Fun: Bubbles are a hit with kids (and adults too!). Let guests blow bubbles. It’s interactive and heartwarming.

Note that bubbles are difficult to predict when it’s windy. Also if used indoors be mindful of the flooring as soapy bubbles can quickly turn the floor slippery.

Sparklers: Illuminating Love

  • Night Time Magic: Sparklers come alive after sunset. Imagine dancing your first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by a sparkling halo—it’s pure enchantment.

  • Grand Entrances and Exits: Sparklers add drama to your entrance or exit. Guests lining the path, holding sparklers aloft—it’s like walking through a starry tunnel.

  • Long-Exposure Art: Photographers can create amazing shots using sparklers. Draw hearts, write your initials, or simply twirl them—it’s artistry in motion.

Note that you need to have safe sparklers and fire prevention to hand just in case there’s an emergency. These images need to be done later when the sun has gone down. Set expectations with everyone as some of your guests including those with young children may have left by this point if they don’t know it’s happening. As with all of these check with your venue that they allow sparklers.

Summary:

Don’t feel you are tied to one or the other. Use a combination of these throughout your day.

For example, you may want confetti at the registry office or outside a church. Then the time between the reception and the evening arrivals may offer a gap where children need entertainment. Bubbles would be a wonderful distraction for them and offer fun candid photo opportunities so get your images and then pass the bubbles to the kids and let them have fun.

In the evening have 10 people or more hold sparklers and get the evening shots that you want. It’s your day so your rules!
